There was a time when I could see magic in everyday life. A glowing cyan-blue magic pouring out of books in the library and a warm yellow glow of magic found in a summer breeze. As I grew up, these things started to fade. Only a flickering light of magic could be seen.
But when I washed up ashore on the beach of the witch’s lair, I could suddenly see everything glowing with enchantments and spells.
The magic in my life was returning.
When I had moved away, I never thought I would see Alara again. I was wrong. She was there for my birthday at my grandparents. I was about to have the best birthday ever. Wrong again. When I go to the beach with her, we’re both eaten up by a gigantic wave that takes us back to where it all began, where Mirthland was from. Except this time, instead of a warm welcome, we meet a witch. Then begins a fierce battle to defeat her. As we make progress, Alara is kidnapped by a mysterious creature that comes from a world of darkness. I go to the world to rescue her with the help of some friends I make on the way. During the rescue, I learn things about my magic that I never knew before….
