My aim with creating this workbook is to guide students toward effective essay writing through global issues. Many students struggle with structuring their essays and writing compelling arguments. With the help of this book, you'll learn how to write like a native speaker. I've received an education in Korea and the United States, so I'd like to expose the writing lessons that I've learned from English speakers and share them with second-language learners across Asia.
In this book, I will show you how to write each step of an essay that will help you to succeed on academic writing tests. The first section will show you all of the necessary ingredients for composing a well-written essay. Then, the book presents the reader with ten chapters on ten different global issues that sharpen their critical thinking skills. Readers will read articles on global issues, outline their essays in the brainstorming section, and put their ideas together for their final essay. Each section concludes with a checklist for teachers to review their students' work and for students to further refine their essay-writing. Finally, you'll receive tips for editing your writing toward the end of the book.
I hope that you use this book to your advantage and know that it will make you a better writer. Without further delay, let's get started.
